Poco dopo che, senza sapere quello che facevo, registrai ilmale.it un tale registrò in blocco ilmale.com, ilmale.net ed ilmale.org. Non si prese mai neppure il disturbo di sostituire la pagina di cortesia messa dal suo provider. Sospetto di trattasse di un tentativo di [[Cybersquatting|http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybersquatting]].\nIl tizio non concluse nulla e lasciò scadere il servizio di hosting. Adesso i domini .net e .org sono liberi mentre ilmale.com è ancora in mano a dei tipi più o meno loschi. Dicono che hanno chiuso un sito e vendono il dominio ma, ilmale.com non ha mai avuto del contenuto e chiedono dei soldi tramite "directly with wire tansfer" che sa tanto di truffa.\nPazienza, se lo tengano. Non è un nome a fare la differenza. Comunque, se avrò il tempo e modo, farò puntare i domini disponibili a questa pagina.\n\n[[Aggiornamento:|ilmale.org]] un italiano ha registrato ilmale.org (che nel mentre era stato lasciato libero dal cybersquatter insieme ad ilmale.net) e vi ha installato apparentemente Joomla. Per me è tutto iniziato con uno scherzo sul finire del 2004. Uno scherzo, un coupon per avere servizio di hosting gratuito per un anno ed un po' di privazione di sonno.\n\nDue miei amici hanno due gatti. Uno dei due gatti se non mangiasse, rompesse e se non fosse un codardo da primato sarebbe del tutto indistinguibile da un grosso grasso cuscino. Un bel giorno, questo gatto codardo, solito scappare sotto il letto all'arrivo del primo estraneo, ha iniziato ad attaccarmi ed a soffiarmi. Per scherzare i miei amici dissero che, evidentemente, percepiva in me l'incarnazione di qualcosa di malvagio.\n\nQui entrano in scena il coupon e la mancanza di sonno. Una bella notte di dicembre mi viene l'infelice idea di registrare un dominio che contenesse il termine //male// all'interno e, trovando ilmale.it libero, feci la mia scelta.\n\nSarebbe finito tutto più o meno così se non fosse per uno strano evento che attirò la mia attenzione: il dominio ilmale.it riceveva visitatori ed era linkato da un discreto numero di pagine, nonostante fosse quasi del tutto vuoto. Questo mi spinse ad effettuare delle ricerche con [[The Wayback Machine|http://www.archive.org/web/web.php]] e scoprire dell'esistenza di un [[predecessore sullo stesso dominio|ilmale.it (2001-2003)]]\n\nQuasi contemporaneamente due altri miei amici, più anziani di me, mi ragguagliarono su cosa era stato //[[Il Male|Il Male (1978-1982)]]// all'inizio degli anni '80\n\nA quel punto i miei scrupoli mi avevano incastrato e, dopo quasi due anni di tentennamenti (mi spiace deludervi, non due anni di ricerche) ecco che, finalmente scrivo qualcosa di senso quasi compiuto.\n\nSe avevate pensato qualcosa di più epico e grandioso mi spiace deludervi. Avete mai provato [[The Wayback Machine|http://www.archive.org/web/web.php]] presso l'[[Internet Archive|http://www.archive.org/]]?\nChe questo dominio sia semplicemente omonimo di una delle più importanti riviste satiriche italiane del suo tempo probabilmente non sarebbe bastato a farmi venire degli scrupoli sul suo contenuto. Fatto sta che, dopo brevi ricerche, sono arrivato a scoprire che ilmale.it era stato nelle mani di qualcuno che, tra il 24 dicembre 2000 ed un non meglio precisato momento intorno al 2003 ha cercato, in qualche modo ed in qualche misura (non sono in grado di giudicare), di creare un sito intenzionato a raccogliere l'eredità [[dell'illustre predecessore cartaceo|Il Male (1978-1982)]].\nDi questa avventura non so dirvi altro e, al meglio, posso rimandarvi alla memoria del web che conserva ancora [[qualche traccia|http://web.archive.org/web/2000-2004*ir_/ilmale.it/*]] del contenuto originale del dominio prima che finisse nelle mie maldestre mani nel 2005.\nSe avete qualcosa da scrivere a questo proposito non esitate a contattarmi.

Avete presente cosa è stato //Il Male// tra il '78 e l'82?! Avete presente i siti nati intorno al 2001? Bene: scordatevene! Non ho la capacità né lo spessore per riuscire anche solo ad osare immaginare di tentare di riproporre qualcosa di quel tipo.\n\nNel dicembre 2004 registrai il dominio ilmale.it quasi per gioco, in risposta ad uno [[scherzo di alcuni miei amici|Perché sto facendo tutto questo?]] ma, troppo giovane, non sapevo quello che facevo né sapevo cosa era stato //Il Male//.\n\nPurtroppo sono malato di quella cosa che la gente chiama scrupoli e, quando ho saputo che il nome era stato usato da un illustre predecessore (più qualche altro predecessore un po' meno illustre ma non meno valente) non me la sono sentita di continuare il gioco e, per fare ammenda, ho deciso che, prima di usare il dominio per le mie futili attività, avrei raccolto un po' di materiale //serio//.\nCon questa [[TiddlyWiki|http://www.tiddlywiki.com/]] considero assolto l'impegno preso con me stesso e sciolto il voto. Quello che troverete in questo dominio a parte questo ha poco o nulla a che vedere con //Il Male//. Mettetevi l'anima in pace!

Nel 2001 vedeva la luce anche un altro dominio oltre [[ilmale.it|ilmale.it (2001-2003)]]. Si trattava di ilmale.net e faceva riferimento ad un numero unico de //Il Male// uscito nel 1994. Purtroppo su di questo non sono stato in grado di trovare quasi nulla nulla e devo lasciare voi lettori in balia della solita [[Wayback Machine|http://web.archive.org/web/2000-2004*ir_/ilmale.net/*]] e del suo contenuto.
